Another poem about my daughter, dog bites, doll houses.

I'm "republishing" a poem that I had to "unpublish" on Wattpad because a journal (Dove Tales) wanted to publish it as the closing piece in an anthology, which is quite an honor. It's out now, so once again I'm making the poem available here . And thank you, everybody who first appreciated it here. You gave me the confidence to send it out.

Previously I removed a poem called "Your Spirit Is A Shadow" because the publisher of an anthology wants to print it. Now with the anthology's permission, it's back where it belongs on Wattpad. (The anthology, by the way, is called "River Poets" and will come out later this year.)

@JoeCottonwood Great news about this poem being published! Congrats and nice of them to give permission for it to be on here :) Will wonder over.

I found you through a dedication someone gave you in their book. I am impressed by your bio and really look forward to reading your work. 50 years with the same woman is quite the accomplishment. Also, building your own home and watching your grandkids grow.. Really commendable. Rare this day in age. Anyways, just saying hi XO, Baya

I am already loving your work. Nice to meet you too.

Here's a poem I first wrote as a rough draft on Wattpad, now finished and published in a journal called Plum Tree Tavern. The poem is "Catamount, Late Summer"

Thanks to everybody who commented and helped to shape this poem. I had to temporarily remove it from Wattpad -- I'll repost it later, after the journal has had a fair run with it.
