About the Author
Bishop Joe N. Hall, Jr. convicted and sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on October 22, 1992. He is now on home confinement until January 18, 2019. Joe started writing America's Democracy and Freedom, a compilation of articles he wrote, in prison for a non-violent drug offense.
While serving his sentence, he worked for the Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (UNICOR) at Coleman's Federal Correctional Complex-Medium located in Coleman, Florida for approximately fourteen (14) years as an Accountant Assistant Clerk with exceptional level of versatility gained from a wide array of clerical and technical skills in Payroll (inmate and civilian), Budget Reports, Project Management, and Quality Assurance. With strong team-working, extensive experience and multi-tasking skills with State Certification in Microsoft Excel (formulas and spreadsheets), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and has experience in System Application Production (SAP), commonly referred to as Millennium, an official record keeping and integrated manufacturing, accounting software package and management information system that's used by UNICOR. Joe worked in UNICOR for a total of twenty-one (21) years.
Joe was an inmate mentor who has taught various classes; Public Speaking-an ACE Program within the institution's Education Department, Theological Studies sponsor by Circumcision of the Heart Ministries of which Joe is the co-founder, Senior Bishop and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also facilitated various Reentry Programs and was President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) prison branch (Unit 51A5) at Coleman-Medium (2006-2009). Joe Hall is a prolific and dynamic speaker and author with publications of his articles appearing in the Mahogany Revue of Ocala and Circumcision of the Heart Ministries located on the website of Stormy Love Ministries, Inc.;
