DINOSAURS DON'T DANCE NEWS
          And has anyone ever tried to reach out to publishing houses/agents?
          
          In case anyone's curious why half of Dinosaurs Don't Dance chapters are unpublished, it is because I'm editing them and needed a difference between what I've edited or not... and I may end up re-editing the entire thing again right after just to smooth over any mistakes.
          
          Its confirmed plans in the latest chapter "What's Next? (Renewed)". 
          
          TL;DR — DDD Wattpad version will remain on this platform as the first original draft. However, DDD's rewrite, Serpents Don't Scheme, Raptors Don't Rest, and Tyrants Don't Tremble (and very likely all my future stories) will no longer be intended to be published on Wattpad so that I may look for agents and publishing houses to get them traditionally published, and this current DDD may serve as a sort of precursor and for anyone who'd still enjoy it!
          
          Any questions, feel free to ask, and any advice on publishing, do tell!

I'm back! Had a fun trip overall and I feel so refreshed. But back to business:
          
          I unfortunately have to remove monikapavlovauthor from being the judge of Fantasy and Comedy, leaving the two categories without a judge. I have not received a response from her for a long time now and I understand that she has a busy life outside Wattpad. We wish her all the best! This leaves a huge gap in the contest. I'm open to allow new judges for the following categories below.
          
          Fantasy: at least 4 Judges
          
          Speculative Fiction: at least 2 judges
          
          Fan Fiction: at least 1
          
          When applying for Judge, do note that:
          
          • You must commit to finishing. I know IRL is more important than Wattpad, so you will be given 2 months maximum, which is more than enough flexibility in reviewing the entries.
          
          • Mandatory payments are now abolished, any payments (follows, reads, votes, comments) will be optional to the participants.
          
          • New judges timeline for each category has until END OF SEPTEMBER to complete their assigned entries with full, in-depth reviews. It is highly encouraged to finish ASAP as this contest has been delayed for a long time.
          
          • Judges will be required to read at least 5 chapters.
          
          The following categories that I myself will take up judging are:
          
          • Action + Adventure
          
          • Thriller
          
          • Crime + Mystery
          
          The current Comedy category is also in need of at least 2 more participants, as there is currently only one within the category!

HORROR + PARANORMAL | GOLDEN BUBBLES
          
          I've been able to offline edit on and off throughout my trip on occasion, but the greatest battle was uploading it on the Wattpad app itself. It changed a few things. The most horrifying is turning my em dashes into hyphens... They really should put focus on having an actual usable interface that doesn't glitch out every 5 seconds. I'll get to formatting it proper on my laptop when I get back. But that's not the news today! Today is for the Horror and Paranormal participants! A good job to everyone! ON BREAK, CYA!
          
          Great, so I was hoping to finish the Horror + Paranormal tomorrow, but somebody had messed with my PC, me attempting to fix it has made it worse in the process and questionably operable and inoperable at the same time. I had to use my laptop, but even that relic can only last so long hanging on its last optic fibre. I will still try to finish and publish by 9 July. If not, then by the end of July. 
          
          Why the end of July? 
          
          I will be overseas from 10 July - 25 July. I may not have solid internet connection, and my time there would be spent having fun without screens and riding buffalos.
          
          I will NOT be able to respond promptly on any platform you contact me through, so please, patiently wait until I come back!

NEW AUTHORS! DYSTOPIAN & FANTASY!
          
          I just recently read a wonderful dystopian I believe needs a LOT more love, and that's @aksrsen 's post-apocalyptic world called "Dead Sun Rising." There's only three chapters so far (and I've yet to read the third) and I'm already obsessed within the first chapter. It has no shortage of a little gore, cosmic horror, molecular mutation, and what I can only as parasitic disease later one, following two sisters living out this last society. If this had been a paperback, I'd have bought it INSTANTLY.
          
          Next, we have another aspiring author learning the ropes of writing and looking for feedback and improvement, @DaniellePainter4 has a fantasy book brewing with elemental spirits! I've managed to skim this a little and plan to review this one in August or a month after. For now, they're in need of advice!
