LAST ANNOUNCEMENT
          
          Aaaaand here we are. I haven't been active for a long time lol. But to say the least, I've grown disillusioned from Wattpad's ventures and found loss of its original self, clinging to hope that it was. But it's to a point where they've allowed only the mass-produced, dopamine-hitting, obviously AI-filled "stories" to rely on, and had let go of the numbers game that I leeched on to keep writing. I'm actually glad I haven't pitched them anything, when I used to be super inspired to be this prolific one-shot wonder if I became a Creator, Paid Author, or traditionally published through their house about a year or two ago. All gone now. Poof. If I'm writing, I can do that without Wattpad.
          
          The goal remains the same: write a story for every genre.
          
          All stories I posted are subject to the changes:
          
          • "Sins of The Founder" removed.
          
          • "Jade Fire" removed, but you can check out Wattpad's @HistoricalFiction account and the book "Time Anthology", chapter "JoelleSC - September '23", to still read it.
          
          • "Dinosaurs Don't Dance" will make its last stretch of editing and will be kept. I'm rewriting the whole thing anyway.
          
          • "Golden Bubbles" will remain published but will no longer be updated. It's remaining reviews will be handed out — thanks so much for the judges who stuck out with me to complete this.
          
          • "OBELISK" will keep updating until finishing. I have it's last few drafts and story will be kept before giving it until end of 2026 before removal.
          
          This will be my last word out here on this platform. That's not to say I won't continue to check in every now and then.

DINOSAURS DON'T DANCE NEWS
          And has anyone ever tried to reach out to publishing houses/agents?
          
          In case anyone's curious why half of Dinosaurs Don't Dance chapters are unpublished, it is because I'm editing them and needed a difference between what I've edited or not... and I may end up re-editing the entire thing again right after just to smooth over any mistakes.
          
          Its confirmed plans in the latest chapter "What's Next? (Renewed)". 
          
          TL;DR — DDD Wattpad version will remain on this platform as the first original draft. However, DDD's rewrite, Serpents Don't Scheme, Raptors Don't Rest, and Tyrants Don't Tremble (and very likely all my future stories) will no longer be intended to be published on Wattpad so that I may look for agents and publishing houses to get them traditionally published, and this current DDD may serve as a sort of precursor and for anyone who'd still enjoy it!
          
          Any questions, feel free to ask, and any advice on publishing, do tell!

ON BREAK, CYA!
          
          Great, so I was hoping to finish the Horror + Paranormal tomorrow, but somebody had messed with my PC, me attempting to fix it has made it worse in the process and questionably operable and inoperable at the same time. I had to use my laptop, but even that relic can only last so long hanging on its last optic fibre. I will still try to finish and publish by 9 July. If not, then by the end of July. 
          
          Why the end of July? 
          
          I will be overseas from 10 July - 25 July. I may not have solid internet connection, and my time there would be spent having fun without screens and riding buffalos.
          
          I will NOT be able to respond promptly on any platform you contact me through, so please, patiently wait until I come back!

NEW AUTHORS! DYSTOPIAN & FANTASY!
          
          I just recently read a wonderful dystopian I believe needs a LOT more love, and that's @aksrsen 's post-apocalyptic world called "Dead Sun Rising." There's only three chapters so far (and I've yet to read the third) and I'm already obsessed within the first chapter. It has no shortage of a little gore, cosmic horror, molecular mutation, and what I can only as parasitic disease later one, following two sisters living out this last society. If this had been a paperback, I'd have bought it INSTANTLY.
          
          Next, we have another aspiring author learning the ropes of writing and looking for feedback and improvement, @DaniellePainter4 has a fantasy book brewing with elemental spirits! I've managed to skim this a little and plan to review this one in August or a month after. For now, they're in need of advice!
          
          Thanks for reading this short shoutout! Both of them have just recently joined Wattpad this June and are looking for dedicated readers! Give 'em votes, a read, or a simple welcome to Wattpad!

Thank you so much for telling me, I’m very gullible, and have to nice of a heart to say no to people (or at least that what I’ve heard people say to me) so thank you so much for looking out for me.

@JoelleSC of course this helps a lot and that's why noticed the messages disappear after a time period. I had never replied or check those accounts thankfully.
          
          
          I've got one doubt. Would our account get glitched by their messages? Or any issues?

PSA on Scam-Spams
          
          For those who can already tell what's NOT a legit offer of "turn your story into a comic" or "help edit your chapters," good on you!
          
          Those who can't or don't know:
          
          Please be aware there is a surge of throwaway accounts combing through stories, spamming their long-winded message of how much they like it, and end it with a beg to commission them for anything. Unless they have a credible portfolio and veritable presence, do NOT give any personal details or give access to your documents. I've already seen more than a few authors who have engaged in thanking them and agreeing to contact. I myself have been Discord DM'ed by two "freelance editors." At least one of whom is legit but I'm stingy of my belongings. The other who's business and supporting testimonials are sketchy and asked for my google documents on one of my stories. Another so-called "illustrator" had the gall to provide their Instagram profile. Guess what it is? Illustrated (famous) comic works... created by other artists — google reverse imaging will do you good too.
          
          There is no telling what they'll do TO you, much less FOR you. 
          
          Commercial activities outside Wattpad programs are a violation.
          
          The best these scam-spams have done is a lil' bump in engagement. So do have fun when you reply to them lol
