First of all: sorry for not updating any of my stories for a while but I kind of lost the motivation to continue them in the past few weeks. Instead, I finally found myself reading some criminally underrated manga that I'm really glad I gave a chance. Since I have this unstoppable desire to tell the world about underrated things I like, that's exactly what I'll do now:
Firstly, read "Goodbye, Eri" and "Look back". Trust me, just read them. They are oneshots but they left a huge impact on me. The printed version of both of them are also now displayed on my bookshelf as my biggest treasures.
The next manga that I love just as much as it also traumatized me is "A trail of blood". A really deep and psychological story about the relationship of a mother and her son. I shouldn't really say anything else, just read a few chapters, with each one everything gets more and more fucked up ;)
Besides that, I can also only highly recommend "The summer Hikaru died" as an amazing story that deals with various topics like the loss of a friend, grief, identity and many more unexpected ones. The art is also just beautiful but what impressed me the most about it is the uneasy atmosphere that it conveys in combination with the 'sound effects'. Read it and you'll know exactly what I mean. Those 2 are also still ongoing so I'm absolutely hyped for their next chapters.
Lastly, "A room of happiness" which I actually just finished reading yesterday. When I first started reading, I didn't expect too much from it and thought it was more or less a simple story. Oh, how wrong I was. This manga made me feel so many different emotions and I really grew attached to the characters. Just like the other ones I mentioned, way too unpopular for how good it actually is.
Sorry for this 'little' rant. I hope I could make anyone get interested in at least one of these masterpieces or maybe even find someone who already read them?
If you have any other recommendations, I'd love to hear them :)
