I love reading and I love writing. I think it is important to let the characters tell you where to take the story. It is the only way to make it feel real and makes it easier to stay consistent. I hate nothing more when characters are forced into acting in a way that is not in line with who they've been the entirety of the story just force a plotpoint. That leads to characters being inconsistent and not making any sense. So I always try to stay true to who they are and be fair to all, even the ones I can't stand. As a writer you can't force the events happening in the story and need to be able to adapt. I am also not on board with the way toxic, manipulative and downright mentally abusive relationships are being idolized and shown as being perfect on TV lately and the way women psychologically abusing men in shows are practically worshipped. You won't find that disturbing trend here. Just like I won't idolize or worship any characters but keep them real and be critical of their behaviors.
