The first draft of my first book is up. Yes i know there are errors which is why it is called a draft. In the process of getting it professionally edited. Sixteen chapters are finished. Still have a ways to go. We are aiming to have it fully edited by the beginning of November so it looks ready for self publishing. So yes we are in great shape. It will hopefully be successful and the first of many.
So the first 29 chapters are up. This is the first draft. I am polishing and cutting stuff with editing. Just so it doesn’t drag out too long. Also correcting errors and checking grammar. Making sure everything is up to snuff. The prologue and first nine chapters I have finished but have not posted the new drafts yet. I want to catch up with everything first. I create one chapter a day with the first draft and try to edit two or three chapters too.
Making touch ups to the first five chapters. Six is up too but will become seven because I can go more in depth either back story of these characters and what has happened to them.
Took me some time but Chapter five is finally finished. Six is close to being done too. Finally hit a good stride and hope to keep it going.
Chapters 1-4 have been edited for the better. The rest will be done this week and will continue the story after I finish doing so.
Been pushing my story more and more. Making some touch ups and changes for the first eleven chapters while working on twelve. There are over 60 characters but am introducing them in certain parts. Five chapters in one place with certain characters, five chapters in another place with certain characters. Certain characters meet other characters from different parts and so on. Not clustering them all together at once is a new challenge for me but have really done better at it over the years. Chapter 12 will be up sometime this week while I make corrections. Won’t take too long.
Chapter 1 part 2 is finally up.
Just going through piece by piece and adding some more to make the story better and talk more of the main character. Show who he is before during and after the war and his constant struggles.
Chapter seven part two and three are up. Now it is on to chapter eight. The introduction to the Salkmurine warriors and the legendary pirates. Aiming for five chapters of that and will then get back to Jarl. All about building up the different characters and then make you guys cry if I kill one of them.
Chapter 7 part one is up. Been tweaking a few things. I believe the dialogue between the two best friends who are on opposite ends in terms of views is important to set up the feud in the future. The best of the main character is based off my best friend in real life. Thirty years plus of friendship and he as always been the genius and me the fighter. In the story though I get to outsmart him once and that is in the art of war.
