I will keep a few chapters up here, but to discover about Malak's adventures in the city of Istanbul, you will have to get yourself the book!

          	Synopsis
Malak is a twenty-one-year-old university student and aspiring artist. After working hard for two long years to save money, she moves from a small town in the Netherlands to Istanbul for a year as part of an exchange program. During her stay in the magical city, she hopes to make her dreams of having an exhibition of her work come true.
Malak goes to Istanbul believing the city to be the perfect place for her as she too represents both East and West. Malak, who is rather naïve and passive, gets caught up in the upper-class social scene she never expected to be part of when she meets Dutch model Lisa, and later Turkish sports manager Taner.
Living the fast life, Malak has to learn how to stay on her own two feet before she gets swept away in the crowd; before she becomes one of the many.
How do you not lose yourself in a new city where there is no one to remind you of who you are? How do you voice your feelings when you can only express yourself with a brush?

** still in editing process **

With Istanbul'da, I bring you a mix of my own experience in the city of Istanbul added with a pinch of wild imagination and the typical flare of Turkish drama series.

Trigger warning: eating disorder, substance abuse, toxic relationships

Hey!

I am slowly posting chapters of “Istanbul’da” and I would love to know what you all think about it! Also, advice from fellow writers is always welcome!

Because the book is also a bit diary like for me and my friends it was sometimes hard to let go of reality and make the events fit for the characters. Hope the story is not too chaotic cause life definitely was!

Since I am already working on “Istanbul’da II”, tips are welcome.
