Yes, time has taken its toll, but while I’ve marched to its icy beat I’ve travelled extensively. My journeys have included a hitch-hike through most US states when I was 19, visiting many interesting emotional states along the way and encountering people ranging from the very, very good to the very, very bad. 
My cultural pleasures encompass works by diverse writers (e.g., in no particular order of preference, Milne, Carroll, Pratchett, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Hesse, Dostoevsky, Dunne and Shakespeare) and numerous composers and music genres (e.g., Gregorian chant, Monteverdi, Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Mozart, Pine Top Smith, other boogie pianists, Brubeck, Elmore James, Pink Floyd, Marley, R&B, Grandmaster Flash, Punk and contemporary writers/singers such as Adele). 
What I really, really like are messages that speak to the child within, because most of the time I feel like a bewildered six-year-old.
