Okay, so this needed to be said.
          
          Yesterday, I defended Chan on Twitter from all the hate he was receiving and when I finally stepped in to say something on my WhatsApp status, people came to me MASSIVELY to mock me telling me that he was an horrible person and all that.
          He wasn’t. He is a precious boy and I know that. He would never hurt anyone or anyone’s culture, why would you hurt him for using a hairstyle?
          I understand that culture has its reasons, like, here in Brazil, African Brazilian slaves wore their braids on their hair as a map guide for them to escape from the slavery place (sugar belts).
          My country (Brazil) has a mother fucking history with African slaves too and yet, none of us seemed to be such dickheads to judge Chan for that or even call him racist.
          And apparently, just as @ftchanglix was saying, they weren’t even dreadlocks, they were DUTCH BRAIDS, so like... y’all mocking Chan for something that wasn’t even what you guys thought it was.
          Excuse me, but the person that needs to apologize is you who mocked him for no real reason.
          
          And because of this stuff, I lost a friend.
