I have some advice :)
To write a oneshot, you can start out in the middle of something. We can use Holly as an example. You come back from work and have wholesome romantic scenes with her, you could also do it so you and Holly are in a bizarre adventure and fighting a stand user. One shots also have a quick explanation for the events that led up to you and Holly dating or fighting the stand user...
