Hey Jon, I'd like to welcome you to Wattpad as well. I've just published my first novel via Kindle, etc. this last month and I'm releasing it here on Wattpad as well. So I don't have any evidence yet, but I've communicated with about 20 other publishing authors here on Wattpad. They share different approaches and stories. But it seems that the ones who really participate here believe that Wattpad increases their sales. When I get back to my desktop computer and have internet I should be able to put together a short list of users you could chat with.

Thank you for the reply.  Do you know specifically any authors who have been successful with using wattpad?  Would be nice to hear their input.
