Hey, it’s been a while since I was back on Wattpad. I started reading your books half my lifetime ago. I think I started with a Proscriptive Relationship and now I’ve just finished your new book “Until the world falls down”.
Short review (potential spoilers)
I really liked the thematic exploration of love - although the beginning parts did even make me question my definition of it. I once read this quote: “I’ve seen love defined a million ways over the years” and I appreciated your inquisition into the emotion. From the beginning, it was obvious Nell’s characterisation was a device to portray how not to love, and Enver was an antithesis. However, I was a bit perplexed by the contradictions in telling (his words) and showing (his actions) - at the beginning it was stated he had 3 emotions but I could have picked out several that was nuanced/implied by the writing (he frequently showed remorse). But I understand writing about emotions is one of the most challenging tasks because there’s many, which increases in complexity as we get older, even psychologists can’t agree on how many “main” ones there are.
Overall, I enjoyed Nell’s character development (I wish Enver’s matched), the foreshadowing and circular nature of the work. Very intrigued to read book 2.
