          Home chapter 6 just released, and little Krie is going to school!
          
          “Well we spoke about the farms and about rats for a bit” I explained, “then she began telling me about the things she was doing at school, and I said I’d like to go to school one day.”
          “Dragons don’t really need to go to school though, Kriezan” grandpapa Arilabrithion told me.  “We all already have enough information in our heads from our ancestral memories.”
          “Maybe” I agreed, “but school sounds fun, and I know that some dragons like to go.  Uncle Tokus went to school for a bit.”
          “He did, that’s true, but there are no schools near to here.”
          I hesitated for a moment, then blurted, “yes there is.  There’s the one in the dark city, that Hen goes to.”

          On the other side of the tunnel I noticed a big, steep staircase, and a tiny pin prick of light at the top.  “What’s that light?” I asked.
          “That’s the outside” mama told me.  “That’s the old door that your papa found.”
          “Can we go up?”
          “We can” she told me, “But it’s a very long climb.”
          I giggled.  “But the tunnel is quite big.  I bet I could fly up.”
          “But I couldn’t” mama pointed out.  “My wings are far too big.”
          I realised that mama was scared of losing me.  She must have been very scared when I got lost and panicked before, so I held her hand and cuddled her tightly.

“That sounds really scary.  I was very scared when I went there the first time.”
          “I know you were, pumpkin” great-grandpapa said, “but it’s not scary now.  I was there yesterday.  Your papa will likely be near the door at the top.  He’s been drawing things for his next book.”
          I gulped a couple of times, then nodded.  “Okay. I’m going to try and be brave.”

          latest part of the caregivers collection, chapter 3 of Home, released.  If you enjoyed the story, the Deep Miners, and wanted to know more about them and how they got to Anchor Deep, this chapter explains some of the history of the dwarves in that part of the world.
          As I've said before, all my stories are interlinked, and although many of them can be enjoyed as separate works, there are elements of each that connect. The deep miners are a particularly curious people and were great fun to create and write stories about.  My favourite irresponsible green dragon, Khicholler, also features in this chapter.
