Josh Quillan is an English (TEFL) teacher by calling, and he writes stuff like the Deliverance series and The Untied Kingdom; the kind of stories he'd like to read. He was born and lived in many parts of the UK, but having made it the object of his study for many years, he escaped and spent 10 years living smack in the middle of his favourite setting: in Japan, in Nagano prefecture, surrounded by lots of mountains and forests and weather, and at closer range by far too many pizzas, houseplants, model cars and model guns, just the right amount of mess and never enough music. Now, though, he's back in the Untied Kingdom, having suffered a stroke. He's currently recovering, rather too gradually for his tastes, and slowly improving his left-handed typing.
