Hey guys, Josh here. So, I've made a decision about my stories going forward.
Obviously, I've been focused on the Toland Trilogy for the last... well, almost a year. And it's been incredible to write it. Eriana's Vow was initially just a passion project, but when I started doing the Toland stories, it became something so much more to me. And now, with Toland Lies halfway finished, it's coming to a close. It has been genuinely amazing.
I'd previously planned to write a spinoff. Ideas included Saint-14, Osiris, Ikora vs Dredgen Yor, and even Amanda Holliday. And, of course, Malphur, a story I've been very excited to write. But I've made a new decision that's changing all that.
Malphur is no longer happening. I had the story planned, all of it. It was going to take place during Forsaken, and would be the story of Shin Malphur's last hunt for the Dredgens to avenge his friend, who was murdered by them. It would have been a kill-list style film, somewhat similar to Django Unchained. And I really did want to make a story that would put the Toland Trilogy to rest.
But I've also been brainstorming ideas for my own original story, not related to Destiny. And I've finally got an idea. But, of course, that has come at a cost. I can't create my original story to the quality it deserves whilst giving the Shin Malphur story that same quality. I simply cannot do it. So I've made the decision to end production on Malphur, and let the Toland Trilogy stand as my pride and joy of writing Destiny stories. It's been an amazing thing to write these stories for you, and I hope you will remember them as fondly as I do.
Toland: Lies is still happening. It will be finished, and it will be amazing. But that will be the end of my time writing fanfiction for Destiny. It's a new day for my writing, and I can't wait to bring you a very different kind of story.
I'll see you starside,
Josh.
