Hi all, just a note to those who are reading my story "The Final People/Kaela". I have temporarily unpublished it. I am making changes that I believe will enhance the story. 
          
          The overall story flow does not change. i.e., I haven't changed the ending or the major story points, but rather, those have been enhanced. Currently, the story is 24 chapters long. However, by the time I am finished, I am looking at the story being 34 chapters and going from novella length to novel length. 
          This includes not only new chapters but additions to existing chapters.
          This isn't fluff or filler material, but key additions I think are important to deliver the emotional impact I was aiming for. 
          
          I plan on releasing the enhanced version of the story sometime next week (May 18th - May 22). It will probably be released in stages, so I hopefully don't flood your inboxes with notifications for each chapter. Thank you for your patience and support!

          To those who have read "The Final People", the reason that world may feel "lived in" is because it has been. That same world is shared by "The Geeryo Project" which is a story I actually started before "The Final People" and takes place time-wise before and during that story.  The Geeryo Project is currently at 50 completed chapters, but it will take a while to upload the rest. 
          
          Note of caution 1: I created both stories to be independent, so you don't need to read both to understand either. However, there are things that should be a mystery in "The Final People" which are explained in "The Geeryo Project", which would change the reading experience dramatically. 
          
          Note of caution 2: As mentioned, I only have the first 3 chapters published as of 4/26/26, with the rest coming, but, for those who are interested, "The Final People" takes place sometime shortly after chapter 36 of "The Geeryo Project". Chapters 35 and 36 actually show the event that necessitated JaKaelath's mission.
          
          Note of caution 3: The style of "The Geeryo Project" is different in that I originally envisioned creating it as an online comic book. The story is told in episodic "Acts" with usually 3 chapters per act. There is an ongoing story but not in the same way as in "The Final People" which is mostly about JaKaelath's mission and the aftermath. "The Geeryo Project" has more self-contained 3 chapter adventures.
