I'm a Jersey girl with midwest roots and a nurse by training. I served on the front lines in community hospitals and then as a civilian nurse for the Army in a base in Maryland.
Writing fiction, for me, is letting my right brain go free after years of being held prisoner while raising children and watching the nursing profession become more about paper than patients. I presently split my time between southeastern North Carolina, southern New Hampshire, and travel; the source of much of my inspiration.
I love the outdoors, children, good wines, good laughs, and good causes.
I am a member of the North Carolina Writer’s Network and the International Women’s Writing Guild.
I wrote and self-published a novel about germ warfare, "Crescent Veil", with Dr. Frank Malinoski, which Heartland Reviews praised as ‘nonstop action based on the real deal by authors who should know what they are presenting’.
I deeply believe in the underlying themes of my latest novel, "In His Stead-- A Father's War". With a number of relatives having served or currently serving in the military, I fully support our sons and daughters in their quest to keep us safe. In no way does this novel demean their bravery or the impossible jobs they do every day.
