Hello, dear readers! Guess what? Two new BLOOD & WOLF chapters dropped today! I hope you'll read more and let me know what you like and don't like about the book. Are you rooting for Clara? Why is Gerrit so mysterious? What do you think is happening to Tamsy? Is Mrs. Van Der Vurst just a selfish sick woman? Will Dr. DuBois help them? Let me know in the comments! The next full moon is February 1. Someone you know who looks perfectly normal today, may turn into a werewolf! Judy

Something new and dark has emerged from the shadows! I've uploaded the first three chapters of my gothic romance, BLOOD & WOLF, where the past has sharp claws when blood runs thick and the moon is full.

Romance, horror, and mystery weave together into a thrilling Gothic tale set in the mid-1800s in the Catskill Mountains that will take you on a journey filled with secret love, moonlit danger, and monstrous surprises.

While I fine-tune the rest of the book, I'd love for you to read the chapters and share your thoughts because your reading experience is so important to me! Plus, your reactions and feelings may influence what happens next! So be sure to share your thoughts.

Wishing you werewolves in your New Year, Judy

HO HO HO! We've had lots of snow and it's a postcard winter wonderland outside! No writing today--instead I'll be playing in the snow, then cookies and hot cocoa.

With this holiday vibe, here's a reminder: I'm sharing two holiday season stories: THE LOVER'S EYE -- an historical dark tale with a gothic-y feel, and THE GHOST OF PERFECT LOVE -- a New Year's Day ghost story with a happy ending! Both stories will de-materialize soon, so please grab a few minutes to read them. And be sure to like, comment, share and vote! Your feedback means everything and helps me continue and get better at my work.

Wishing you some Christmastime joy, Judy

Hello! I've got another short story available. If you like ghost stories around the holiday time, then you'll like THE GHOST OF PERFECT LOVE. This story is set in New York in 1872. A young man's heart breaks, and he contemplates doing himself in--until someone, or something, intervenes! This is a quick read (~8 minutes) read with heart, humor and a ghost! I hope you enjoy it! Please vote, share like and let me know what you think!

Hello! I've been away for a bit, working on several writing projects. But now the holidays are almost here, and I wanted to celebrate by sharing a gothic-y holiday tale. I've added a short story, THE LOVER'S EYE, and I'd love to get your thoughts. A lover's eye was a miniature painting of a beloved person's eye. (Yes, weird.) It was very popular in England in the late 1700s, then the practice made it's way to America among the wealthy in the 1800s. This story is a 20-minute read, dark and spooky, with a strong female main character who falls in love in New York City on New Year's Day in 1823. I hope you enjoy it!

Dream Walkers: Heart & Hand is complete and available for reading! And I'm working on the sequel, while juggling a few fiction and nonfiction projects. Before I share the first chapter, what do you think should happen next? BTW, my setting was inspired by the beautiful area of Kingston, NY in the Catskills region, where the Esopus tribe lived. Let me know if you've visited the area. What do you like most about it?

Today the final chapter of Dream Walkers: Heart & Hand will drop! Thank you for following and reading the chapters thus far, and I hope you'll read the final chapter, too. Don't forget to like, comment, share and vote!

With this paranormal romance coming to an end (or is it?) it seems a good time to answer the question, how did I name the two main characters? I'll share a couple of research details: Achawk is the phonetic spelling for the Algonquin word meaning 'spirit'. When I started my story, I struggled to name this Male Main Character, and I went through a few potential monikers in my early drafts. Then I discovered some words in the Algonquin language, and 'Achawk' seemed to embody this man who starts out resenting the world but grows and changes during the story. On the other hand, Manda was easier. It's an abbreviation of Amanda, which is a Latin word meaning 'she who is loved'. Right from the early outline, her name seemed like the perfect fit for her. I never changed it.

I hope you enjoy the final installment today, and be sure to let me know what you think should happen next!

Dream Walkers: Heart & Hand will come to an end tomorrow--or is it the end? I've been working on a sequel, but my schedule has gotten in the way and it's going to take a little time to roll out the next book. (I can't give away the plot, but guess what? The creatures are not done with Manda or Achawk.) In the meantime, thank you for reading the installments so far. This has been a great learning experience and I so appreciate your likes, comments, votes and shares. A quick question: Do you like minibooks? Do you like short books with quick chapters? Or do you prefer longer works? As always thank you for reading!
