My name is Julian M. Gill and I am rising.

I hold a Masters in English and Film from Exeter University but this gives me no more of an edge in the world of writing over anyone else. This was simply answering a call to learn about the construction of language and how best to employ it as an emotional tool. Whether I can do this is the question it raises.

My passion for writing leads me through dark alleys and across well trodden plains. Many times I will follow, biding my time, practicing the art. I simply want to write for it makes me happy. If I can pass on this feeling to another then this would mean great strides for my sense of self worth.

My writing style is fiction with a heavy gesture to dark and awful things, however I am always trying to move out of my comfort zone and respond well to constructive criticism.

I consider myself a competent writer and a competent man. I may come across as mood-stricken but I can assure you that this is not the case. I live happily with my girlfriend and two fish.
