Greetings all,

I plan to be more casual here than on my website, though I hope that doesn't put you off. I'm a self-published author currently working on my MFA in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing at Same Houston State University. I've served as president of the Houston Writers Guild, VP of the Gulf Coast Federation of Writers, and am currently the VP of the Delta Chapter of SHSU's Sigma Tau Delta, aka, the English Honors Society. My goal for 2015 is to self-publish one new title every month for the duration of the year. So far, so good.

Good grief all that makes me sound incredibly stuck up and I still haven't said a thing about what I actually write. I LOVE speculative fiction and especially enjoy writing it. My specialty is genre blending. For example, one of the series being published in my aforementioned 2015 goal is a mixture of sword and sorcery with classic western. Think Cowboys and Aliens but with dragons, goblins, and mages instead of extraterrestrials and spaceships.

All that said, I'm going to apologize in advance to anyone who reads what I publish on Wattpad. Right now I've tentative plans to include short stories, sample chapters, and rough drafts but things almost never go according to plan. Between grad school, work, and trying to meet my (admittedly self imposed) deadlines, I'm stinking busy. To say nothing of the fact that I am absolutely horrific at all things social. One would think that being horrible with people in person would somehow empower you over the Internet but I've found this sadly isn't the case, or at least it isn't with me. That this is a glaring weakness in anyone wanting to make a living through self-publishing, and heck, the writing industry as a whole, is not lost on me.

However, I am going to try. So please bear with me. Check out my website (I've already got some free stories up on there for free), look my books up on Amazon, and please feel free to drop me a line.
