I need yalls opinion on this:
I have been playing the piano for about 9 Years but the fact that you have to practice every day stresses me. It's getting to a thing I hope my parents forget everyday. But I'm currently working on a piece I really like, it's 9 pages long and I already got 8 done so I'm close to finishing it. Also I really enjoy the small talk with my piano teacher when I got lessons. I think my parents have noticed that I don't enjoy it as much anymore and asked me if I wan't to stop playing. Out of reflex I kind of said no (╥﹏╥) but I'm thinking about mabye stopping at the end of the school year? I just think the fact that my parents tell me to practice everyday made me lose interest because it felt more like sth I do for them than sth I genuinely enjoy. What do you guys think?TT

Ohh good to know I'm not the only one. Thank you for the encouragement ❤️ yeah it feels more like a chore to me as well now but I think I'll def continue this piece and after that I'll see...

@Julicitera this is exactly what happened to me :/ i really liked doing music and piano, but my mom kept forcing me so it became more as a chore or smth than what i wanted to do. but i dont think u should stop!! i continued and my mom became less strict about it so i play for fun now
