Julie was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she is now residing again after living on the rugged West Coast of the South Island for nine years. She has worked and served overseas with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including a three- year posting to Bangkok, Thailand. After completing a Diploma for Professional Writer of Children’s Stories, she wrote her popular first fantasy novel for children, Abby and the Hopplescotch Realm. This was written as the first in her series of stories about the adventures of a group of children and other characters in different realms. Julie's series has grown to 4 books in total now with the 5th being penned, it is extremely popular, read her reviews on her website and enjoy her books.
Julie lives with her youngest daughter and her dog, Bailey, the big lovable Rotty. Julie was Chairperson of the New Zealand Society of Authors for Canterbury in 2012.

Contracts have expired with her publisher so she has been releasing books digitally and left over printed stocks are available through her website or online shops till stocks expire for her first and second editions. Late 2011, she released print on demand paperback copies on Amazon with new covers, along with the long awaited for 4th book. What have they been up to this time?

The series is all written in past tense, Abby was 5th on our best seller list when it was first published in 2003.
Julie found the original manuscript of Abby in her computer that was typed in present tense before the publisher wanted it changed into past tense for publication, She hopes you enjoy it! It's not as long or as detailed as the final one but still a rollicky read.

If you liked reading Harry Potter you will love this series and now with the help of digital publishing it is easy to bring the series to a world wide audience.
Most adults love her books too, Magical can even teach some adults how to keep a step ahead of teenagers and stop them playing the 'game'.
