Despite contrary belief, it is true that normal is an insult. So, I make it my goal in life to never be normal. To never conform. To never follow the crowd.
So, I will always stay true to myself. And if you are offended by it, then you can either choose to leave me be or to deal with it.
I live happily though I keep to myself. This is the life I chose. The world tried to drag me down, but I refused to fall.
I may not be accomplished, or well known, and I may not ever make it in the life I wish to lead, but that does not matter.
I have few friends, but those I have are close. I would rather die than live a day without them. Those I love know I love them and I could never ask for more.
Although it may seem trivial, I cling to my childhood like nothing else. I obsess over things that will one day cease to exist, though I hope they never do. I see nothing wrong with that way of life.
Being a writer, I choose my words carefully, even in everyday conversation, which has saved me heartache many times over. I owe this soley to a friend who opened my eyes to this talent of mine.
After reading all of this, you may think me a fool. But I warn you, tread lightly when it comes to insulting me.
