A little something I love is when two characters make a promise to each other and then one dies and the other has a moment where they break down sobbing over the promise and how it'll never be fulfilled.

Just want to say that the main character from City of Noghtmares is the biggest asshole I've ever seen in a protag so far- like girlie knowingly manipulated her boss with her trauma for pity to keep her job- a job she sucks at, by the way. And then purposely sprained a coworkers ankle for her own benefit-
