Humour or mentally deficient? It’s debatable!!

Hey!

I hope that you've been doing well! Sending lots of love!

@JustANIslanderGirl Okay, first, don't worry about typos. Typo is practically my middle name. I understand.

Second, your dad is incredible. I may not understand missing a leg, but I understand having to navigate new life norms. I myself have medical issues and was wheelchair bound at one point. Your dad is incredible and I am wishing him nothing but swift recovery and strength. I know that with you by his side, and your family, that he'll be able to overcome anything. Do not ever apologize for taking a break from reading for yourself and your family. You are incredible strong and wise for being able to do this. It isn't easy for anyone involved. And being brave enough to be willing to talk about it with a stranger like me.

Take deep breaths, stay hydrated, and never give up. Family first, always. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm supporting you and your family. Genuinely. You're a kind soul and have encouraged me so much in my writing and in my life, so I thank you greatly for that.

@Moonie607 yeah that sucks but I’m not feeling so dumb anymore lol…

So last October my dad was having leg pain, kind out one o the stents in his leg collapsed. O some back story, vascular disease runs in my dads family, its hereditary and my dad had up to that point 9 aneurysm repairs. So the main vein in dads right leg had 4 stents in it, we spent Christmas in an out of province hospital for 17 days to try to estimate blood to his lower leg, two failed surgeries later and we came home to the island and in May he lost his leg :( So I’ve been helping my parents navigate dads new daily norm. It’s been tough, but my dad has a resilience that amazes me. Some days are tough physically and other days it’s the mental toll…. But my mom and my 3 sisters and I love him fiercely so we will navigate this.its been difficult getting stuff done to make the house safe and accessible for him( impossible to get contractors) but we plunge ahead. So I’ve gone weeks by times not even reading because I’m just so tired when I get home. I’m happy that things are settling a bit and I can get back o some normalacy in my life.
