I want to start off by saying, I got a day off to reflect on this incident and I want to apologise sincerely.
I did report it and Wattpad doesn't take books down easily, I've attempted that with another book where all 7 members of BTS raped Y/N, and Wattpad never took it down. It asks a lot of questions before taking action. I thought the same way, I'll just report and see if it works this time, but I didn't know that Wattpad would actually take action. I was surprised, but because we had the fight, I didn't feel so guilty then.
Unfortunately as a SA victim myself, I'm VERY sensitive to this topic of rape and abuse, so it triggered me and I felt very angry that such books get to pass. No woman will ever forgive a man who raped her, and getting comfortable in marriage is even beyond that. As a teen? Like sixteen year old? It's never going to be okay, and someone who's been assaulted and abused will tell you you're very lucky to be thinking it's possible, but fiction affects reality in ways we don't realise and authors have the responsibility to write responsibly. I thought you're trying to portray this as okay, normalising marrying your rapist is never the way, as someone with a platform, no matter how small.
In that book that I tried reporting a few years ago, it was senseless raping, and no character development. My blood boiled.
From what a friend of mine who's read your books told me, she said your characters develop FANTASTICALLY. I regret getting it taken down. I hope you will forgive me and I hope we are chill. I wish I could hit rewind and do this differently. I don't know. I do feel bad that your hard work is gone. I'm truly sorry.
