Okay, “crusade” may be over doing it, but I nonetheless receive you with overwrought keenness, Dear Reader, as a writer/reader link between us may result in a WORLD’s FIRST!  

I’m, of course, implying the Original English Light Novel or OELN—an undertaking which mostly is still at its trial stage; yet to reach the quality & legend akin to its Asian inspirations (this statement communicates the LN subgenre of YA fiction; not the YA genre in general).

Though, before we try to solve this matter, please allow me to introduce myself.

Ladies & noblemen, my writer pseudonym is K and I endure life as a CloTaku or “Closet Otaku” as coined by the LN of the same title. I’m regarded as an obsessive workhouse as my OELN series is all I focus on. Thus, I execute everything; including the death-inducing process of editing. This desire to become an Original English Light Novelist (OELN-ist) of a true-to-its-genre title was roused by the high caliber behind the interests I happened upon growing up. These included/still include Anime; Manga, LNs & Music. The amazing level of art these specific creators produced shaped my life and I continue pursuing them with my own work as a sign of gratitude for showing me that I too have a duty to fulfill; the inspiration to soldier on! This duty is being fulfilled each day via my love for writing—in the LN style! And my biggest wish is seeing my OELN series translated into Japanese & Korean before inspiring a chain of Manga, Visual LNs & an Anime series.

So, with such high hopes in mind, what is absent from OELNs that, I think, thwarts their officialism? And will my OELN series deliver the desired quality that creates a following I believe this subgenre urgently needs to finally take flight? Well, there’s only one way to find out, Reader…
