Hi, if you've clicked on this description then there is an outside chance you have read a piece of my work and either enjoyed what you found or you're checking to see that I am indeed a real person and not in fact the result of genetic testing or some other strange scientific experiment.  I can assure you that I am a genuine human being who really does enjoy expressing ones self with the written word.  I am very much an amateur but I do hope to one day become so adept at writing that I can call it my profession.  I am originally from the North West of England but now live and love on the South Coast.  I am happily married and have 4 amazing children who prove absolutely inspirational.  There is nothing like listening to the dreams of your kids to make you realise that the only thing that ever limits any of us is cynicism and a constant stream of negative thought processes.  I always try to speak to anybody who is gracious enough to take the time to read anything I've written and has something constructive to say.  I have no great agenda in mind when I write, I am not trying to educate or enlighten.  I simply hope to make people smile and perhaps forget the world exists, even for a few minutes. I have a couple of favourite authors who deliver their talent in very different ways.  I adore the works of the late great Terry Pratchett, I have spent many an hour wrapped up in his discworld.  Then there is Bernard Cornwell, a man who delivers history neatly tied to an amazing adventure.  My particular favourite piece of work is his Arthurian legend trilogy.  And finally I love the books by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor.  Often known as the gestalt entity Grant Naylor and the Red Dwarf books.    When you can write sci-fi in a way that makes you forget it's set in space then you are a legend in my mind.  So there you are my new friend.  K.C Mims in a neat and tidy bundle.
