Hey :) I read rough edges a long time ago and wanted to read the rewrite when I saw that it isnt published anymore. What happened?

ROUGH EDGES FULLY COMPLETE
          
          With the sheer amount of time I’ve gone completely silent, I very much doubt anyone here still remembers I exist or that this project was a WIP for the past year or so lmao. 
          Either way, Rough Edges has been fully reworked and now sits at 95k words and 37 chapters!!! It’s basically a whole new novel atp ngl 
          Will be releasing chapter by chapter starting tomorrow!

Rough Edges rewrite.
          Act 1: The Crow
          9 chapters. 
          24k words.

Chapter 1 of the Rough Edges rewrite is OUT!! 
          Please note that although a large part of the plot has been reworked, the beginning and ending stays roughly the same. Hence, please don't be surprised that the first chapter flows almost identically to the original; the plot will start to go in its own direction soon, but not immediately.
          ALSO! I credited a bunch of my OGs in the Special Thanks section. Do you see your name in there somewhere? Let me know if I missed anyone!

          I’ve just realized that with my current skill in writing, there is absolutely no way I’d be able to deliver my original ideas for Serenade and Fugue without it absolutely flopping. Unless I get some massive inspiration now, I might have to delay it until I gather enough experience.
          I don’t want to be doing this either. The word document is already longer than Feux d’artifice. But I won’t allow myself to give up on making it perfect and uploading a half-hearted piece of crap, because you guys honestly deserve better.
          I’ll do my best to salvage what I can from it, but chances are, it won’t come out until much later.
          I’m sorry.

          I’m proud to announce that Serenade and Fugue, my most recent novel, is now in its final stages of development and will be ready for publishing in a month or two.
          The first chapter will be published once this account hits 50 followers!
          
          Also, several of my beta readers have asked about my decision to depict the characters as humans instead of furries in the upcoming novel. 
          This is because I feel like my writing has improved to the point where I want to try to promote it beyond the furry community. HOWEVER, the species of the main characters carries little to no significance to the plot, so if you guys prefer, I could make an alternate version of the book cover where they are depicted as furries instead.
          Thank you guys for sticking with me in the early stages of my writing career, and I promise that there will be a lot more to come in the future! :3

If you’ve read any of my stuff, there’s a good chance you’ve also noticed the furry novel named Cake, by Klondikehazel.
          Well guess what? 
          On April fool’s, he announced an nsfw chapter for the story, later confirming it was intended as a joke, to which I replied “fine, I’ll do it myself”.
          SURPRISINGLY, he granted me permission to do it, as long as all due credit is given.

Do you ever think you might make a full on sequel to "Rough Edges"? I absolutely fell in love with the book. It was an amazing read and I loved every bit of it so I'm hoping that sense you did a prequel (which I'm going to probably binge read in the next day or so) I'm hoping to maybe see a full book on a sequel. Once again, an amazing and beautiful story, in my opinion you have great talent as a writer.

They was my first fully completed novels, and I posted it feeling really insecure and uncertain as to whether or not people would like it. And I'm proud to announce that, while limited compared to a lot of other furry novels on this platform, the feedback I got was largely positive. I got such a boost in confidence from you guys, so thank you!
          THAT BEING SAID...
          I am ALSO proud to announce a new semi-romance book currently in the works and will be released within the next couple of months. 
          It follows a violin prodigy as he finally achieves his dream of going to one of the world's top music conservatoires after a hellish time at his previous school. There, he meets new people, gets involved in exciting events... but he can't quite shake the feeling that everything is a little too perfect. His rationale tells him nothing is wrong, but his inability to trust says otherwise. Has he really escaped the purgatory of his former life, or has he simply gone out of the frying pan and into the fire?
