Though we are currently experiencing a global pandemic, I’m still insanely busy; I guess that come with the territory of being an adult. Completing my university studies remotely does have it’s challenges but also has it perks as I am able to take my school work with me everywhere, including work. With everything being done remotely as an essential worker within my own community providing daycare for essential workers during the pandemic has been difficult not just physically but emotionally and mentally. The constant changes and reevaluation of our services is forever ongoing. Though I am working at a youth center, by providing day care to essential service workers along with community development programs which ensure social distancing and remaining in ones own house hold bubble is trying. I to am woken up in the middle of the night to head to work do be there for children whose parents work throughout the night. It’s hard but these children need a place to go as their parents risk their lives trying to save others. On average I sleep anywhere from three to five hours per night with a constant routine, thus I am great full for remote learning allowing to take it with me to where I am needed to allow me to complete my final semester of my studies.
In all honesty, I can’t imaging what the front line workers experience in terms of the horrors of having to decide who lives and who dies. We should be thankful for these people but know that once this pandemic is over these people may not return to their jobs, some may experience ptsd, others may decide that they experienced enough to last a life time and move on to less demanding jobs.
I thank them. For their service and the ability to wake up each day and relive the same horrors day after day, in hopes they can at least save one person that day.
          	Thank you.
