I am a huge fan of the fantasy genre. Mainly because it embraces the greatest amount of imagination and creativity, in my opinion. Although it has such high potential, i have found recently that a large quantity of people are using the same old cliches that have been used so often. My two main peeves being magic and prophecy.
I see why people enjoy that sort of thing, i mean...it is cool. Destiny is just such an epic word, but if you think about it. Even in the ambiguous prophecies...the hero just about always comes out one top. Then there is the wrong prophecy cliche. Where the hero comes out on top against what the prophecies say. Meh...not my cup of tea. I prefer a more realistic look at the fantasy world. Where you can connect with characters because they are not just powerful beings destined for greatness.
I prefer to let the circumstances do the talking. Let it be lifelike in the fact that even if something random that has nothing to do with the plot can happen because it is a world of chaos. Anyhow, i am rambling.
I am just some kid from somewhere in the world attempting to get his stories out. I hope you take the time to read what i post here, though most won't be full stories *sorry about that* because i am working on getting published. (In the process actually :D)
So i say, enjoy! i hope you like what you see.
