OMG the way I cringe when I re-read some of my stuff. ‍♀️‍♀️

Are you able to enable text to speech manually on your stories?

KailorReese

I am not. That is a Beta feature that Wattpad selects certain profiles for, I believe.

I haven't tried before but I will look into it today!

Wow! It’s finally happening! Congratulations! That’s such a beat and unique thing to have accomplished.

If you care to share the song title, I’d love to have a listen. No, pressure, however!

Mmm, and Biased! So the credit accomplishment stirred some inspo for writing? Wonderful. I am curious to see you develop it.

**Wattpad totally replaced my "shrug" emoji with the female symbol, and I'm cracking up.**

Hi there. I'm not dead. ;) Just a quick update to say that I added a second chapter to I.N Too Deep, and that I have unpublished the chapters from the first version of Neighborly in order to direct readers to the revamped version that is available.

I've had quite a few health scares with my mother in the past few months, but thankfully she is doing better. I officially hit burnout status around Christmas and have been barely keeping myself sane while still working a full-time job where I'm always on call, taking care of my mother and our home & property, and being present and available for my not-daughter (a young lady I've mentored for 12 years and has become like a daughter to me since I don't have any), and running a business on the side.

There hasn't been much of my brain to share. Thank you for sticking with me and for being patient. I wish I could pump out chapters every week, but that's just not where I am in life right now. You guys are my little lights that remind me to look up and see the beauty in this world.

          All my love,
          Kailor

STAY!! Have you attended or are you attending SKZ's DominATE world tour? I'll be going to the 2 shows for Arlington, Texas on June 6-7! I'll be on the floor in section E for the first night, and I'm trying to get into a suite with a group on the second night.

I've seen ATEEZ in concert before but this will be my first ever Stray Kids show(s). I am so excited to see them perform live. It's one thing to listen to the songs and then to see them perform the songs right in front of you.

So chime in with where you went or where you're going! I'm excited to hear!

P.S. I'm currently working on Neighborly during my lunch break and am looking forward to getting back into this story.

@mrssilverscott that's so awesome I convinced my pseudo-daughter to go with me the week before and she wanted a ticket for day two at Arlington. We took the trip together and had an incredible time! Absolutely for the books and so memorable.

I tend to live out of a suitcase during the summer months for extra jobs and projects I pick up, as well as working my full-time job. I'm currently songwriting and cutting demo tracks for a few different artists (that's where the inspo for "Biased" came from, which I hope to work on again soon), plus other writing projects I am obligated to this summer (book revisions, magazine issues, teaching songwriting classes, plus setting up collab sessions with other songwriters and students). I've been dying to get back to "Neighborly" and add a few new comfort fics to the Collection, so keep your eyes out for updates in the next week or so!

Thank you for hanging in there with me. It's been a difficult, dark, and confusing year in the midst of all the little triumphs. I won't give you. You don't give up. We'll make it through this together!

And thank you for all the laughs today, Raven. You kept a smile on my face for hours. You helped me remember how good it feels to write for other people to read. Take care of yourself, Little One.

Sillybeanns

@KailorReese girl no!
What’s astounding is that I was reminded of the message when I was looking for one of your stories yesterday. I couldn’t find it, and I panicked a little thinking that maybe you HAD deleted your account! Wattpad is VERY glitchy. I went back later only to find your story where I KNEW I had placed it!

Anyway, it would be an awful shame to delete your account. Your stories are like a warm, comforting hug. Idk they’re like biting into a sweet strawberry under the shade if an oak tree on a warm summer afternoon. It’s a kindness in the world; why not share it? <3

I hope you can find some respite from the chaos. Maybe go get a scoop of ice cream and walk through a park? And I hope your mum is doing well. <333

@Sillybeanns Hi :) It's messages like this that keep me from making bad choices like deleting my entire account like I wanted to do yesterday. Seriously, I was going to delete it because life is crazy. "Then YOU showed up!" Don't feel bad about not responding! I overshare quite often, so it's no biggie. LOL So, the songwriting—the most basic process of it is to document your ideas, physically or digitally, especially if you have melodies associated with the lyrics or music. Then choose if you prefer to work in-person with another songwriter, musician, or producer; or if you prefer to outsource the work by posting it on social media and/or one of the many online platforms for songwriters & artists to find someone to complete the idea for you. Those are the super basic first steps. Before taking steps toward those actions, you have to decide what your goal is for your songwriting: hobby for fun and no exposure, local artist level exposure, or larger scale exposure. That answer will depend on how far and how costly your efforts will need to be to write, record, network, and distribute.

@KailorReese hey. It’s been bothering me that I can’t find a long message you wrote me that reminds me of this one. I meant to write back and when I finally remembered, but I couldn’t find it for the life of me. You shared a lot, and I felt like such an ass since you took the time to share. What caught my eye in particular was the songwriting. How neat! How does one go about writing songs and offering them to people? It’s such and alien topic to me.

My apologies on being MIA. I have been unable to write recently but will hopefully be able to focus more in the next few weeks. Work, home life, and taking care of my elderly mother have been my priority. Thank you for your patience!
