I just realized my Nona and Tata, along with Tia are extremely homophobic. I’m extremely close to them and I think I just lost them. On the plus side, I just found out I have a lesbian aunt and my mom is Bi. Well, that and my dad used to cross dress. And my other side of the family is very accepting.

I’m not out to them, so it’s just keeping it a secret for the next 10-20 years. That will be a challenge but, the other stuff is great

How do I convince my mom to let me get a short haircut. I know she is super protective of my hair, but I don’t like it. It’s the only thing that makes me look like a butch lesbian instead of a dude.

@KairiG598 Maybe try asking greatly for shorter and shorter hair, or ask for something WAY more extreme then what you want, then show her what you actually want, and it'll seem mild in comparison.

@ KairiG598 I had the same thing when I wanted it shorter. If you can't convince her normally, try telling her you're old enough to make your own choices and that you won't regret it.
