I'm so delighted that you found my stories.
My story begins at Holy Cross Mission in the remote jungle village of Bolahun, Liberia, where I served as a Peace Corps teacher.
The house behind me (same one I lived in during my time in Africa) is in my story.
In the conversation about Baby Margaux in the Monastery Tea Room is fictional but takes place among people who actually worked there at the school.
I wrote myself into that tea room scene: They called me "Perk" at Holy Cross Mission.
By the time Margaux is a young woman, these characters are no longer there.
Enjoy my story. Many characters in it are based on real life people.
