Weary eyes flashed with renewed energy as he looked at the horse hitched in front of the building that lay directly in his path. He had ridden a hell of a long way and impatience was chewing him up. From town to town he had followed this man until he had come to this place. And now the man he hunted was inside the saloon in front of him. Just on the other side of those batwing doors lay the way to a new life for him. New respect when he walked down the street. New respect when he gave his opinion. New respect inside himself. He wanted what the man inside had in a real bad way and the only way for him to get it was for him to kill that man; and he had to do it in front of as many witnesses as he could. Didn't do any good to kill the man with nobody around to see.  Once he drew down on that old-timer in there, his life was gonna take a real sharp turn. And folks WOULD talk.
