So, I've been letting my messy and chaotic self go rogue lately and released some drabbles that I've kept hidden in my attic. I feel like a child on a sugar rush when I post them. Here's my recent one - it's a dark fantasy drabble based on my WIP... clearly I'd do anything to not write the actual book lol

They were high school rivals who couldn't stand each other.
Years later, fate throws them back together ~ not in a classroom, but a crime scene.
IPS officer Veer Ahlawat leads with instinct and authority.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Myra Anand trusts only what evidence reveals.
They clash the way they always have ~ sharp words, sharper stares, tension builds, desires grows and a past neither of them truly forgot.
But when a string of calculated murders begins and the case leads into the country's most powerful circles, the danger increases. And the closer Veer and Myra gets to the truth.....
The harder it becomes to deny the tension that was never just hatred.
In a city where trust can get you killed ~ falling for your arch-enemy might be the most fatal mistake of all.

Hey everyone,
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed that my updates have been all over the place for the past 14 years. What can you expect from a 15-year-old who knew nothing at the time?
First of all, I wanna say – thank you. Whether you read my old drafts, left comments, voted, or showed up, you helped me believe in these stories enough to take them to the next step.
Over the past year, I’ve decided to pursue my education, aiming for traditional author publication. Kickstarting my career this way will help expand my readership while also getting paid for my work. That means I’ll be refining, rewriting, and re-releasing some of these stories in completely new ways, ready for a wider audience. I want my books to reach bookshelves and stores, and to do that, I need to take the time to build them in the best way I know how: offline.
Here's what this means.
Dorm Room 210 will be on Wattpad in its original version. This book changed everything for me, and I want to leave here as a thank you to the readers who found me through it. This book will be traditionally published. This means that the new version will be removed for the sake of keeping a completed manuscript available for you.
The Deep Z is my current WIP for Wattpad, and I’ll be sharing the first draft here. It’s raw, messy, and full of emotion,n just like with Dorm Room 210 – and I want you to have a front-row seat as I build it.
My short story The Call will also remain on Wattpad.
All other stories will be archived for now. They’re not gone, just going into the writing vault so I can rewrite them. I will announce later in the year what will become of them.
All that I will ask of you is your unwavering patience and support, and your belief in me as I take this next step. Whether you’re here for the chaos, drama, romance (or all three), thank you. And I hope you continue to stick around.
My deepest appreciation,
Kapsie xx

I made a tiktok account! Find me @nicolekapsie - I've posted a short little video on an exclusive scene from Dorm Room 210, (or should I say, The Dinner scene). If you want more content from the offline version of DR210 (including exclusive spicy scenes) send a message over. I can't believe DR210 has reached over 65M reads!!!! You guys are insane (I love you all!!!!) xx

Thanks for the update! I am a huge fan of your writing and really enjoyed the enemies to lovers dynamic between the main characters. Whatever you decide to do with your book I support it. Have you considered posting the original story as a stand-alone book?

Happy to say chapter 23 is up for NOTED. 7 more chapters to go and another official end to a long-awaited novel (I miss used to smashing out stories like it was no one's business. I hope I get that skill back one day) hehe xx

@milkymaliknow I've copied this from this site https://blog.reedsy.com/word-count-novella-short-story-length/ that I recommend you look into if you can. Briefly outlined below is the number of words fit for your project. Novella: 17,500 – 40,000 words Novelette: 7,700 – 17,500 words Short Story: Less than 7,500 words As you can see, any more than 40k would be considered a novel. However, it also depends on the genre. Given the information you've given me, I'd say yours will fit in either 3. If you're aiming for a standard "novel" 30 pages isn't enough. Hopefully this helps xx
