Book lover and sweetheart with a splash of Caribbean sass and smarts, I am said to be the hopeless romantic best friend you always wanted, ride or die!, and that comes through in my writing and reading picks. Although I am definitely head over heels for fantasy and more, there has to be a point: Give me hot cocoa with marshmallows and the LOTR any day, or you could alternate with Percy Jackson & The Olympians, of course! 😉 ... or The Giver series... I think you get the idea! Don't get me wrong, because I am not a film hater: If there is a animated series, live action series, or movie series that does a book justice, I am all in, though I am among the first to tell you that reading the books first tends to make you quite critical about the film renditions! 😂 A 'lil character picky too, I love a character with some serious depth, someone who is not a pile of fluff or, worse, all too flawless. Even if they are fae, elf, etc., they need a "human" element. They should be relatable, and, if they fall in love, it should not be a cheesy insult to my intelligence, but it needs some pop too. You get the picture! You might think I do not read, however, because my speed outdistances the volume of pages 🤣 on most days, and, though I always feel it can be improved and love constructive feedback, I have been told that my writing is beautiful. I hope that is because of all the stories behind me, not just from books, but, even better, from real life drama, sorrow, fire, and achievement. I can relate to and hang with a lot of crowds (no wonder I cannot figure out if I am a Millennial or a Gen-Zer! or is that my birthday's fault? 😝), 'cause I need to be loved. It's just me, but it has its downsides. I have been broken, up, down, and sideways, chasing down love, and I still am figuring it out, but, with an arsenal of the Light from above and the right words, the right books, and the right friends at my side ... family ... I can do just about anything! Let's rock this!
