Poet and sort story author. 

I am 19 years old and a junior in college. I am majoring in English with a  concentration in writing. I also pursue theatre, art, dance, philosophy, the outdoors, and video games in my albeit limited free time. I also have about forty plants in my one-bedroom apartment. 

About my writing: 
I focus mostly on poetry. I began writing when I was a kid and have worked on it ever since. I started with short stories/books - because what elementary school writer doesn't dream of writing a book? A hundred different stories began, and not a single one finished. In middle school, I began listening to spoken word poetry, which led me to write more poetry, I think. I can't remember much of middle school. In high school, I began writing poetry consistently. I wrote mostly, if not entirely, spoken word poetry. I also competed in local spoken word slams. I read other poems initially but have shifted into performing my work. I plan to go into teaching and writing professionally alongside it. I've had so many outstanding and impactful teachers/professors that I believe that is what I want to do. Before teaching, I plan to live in different places to find where I want to end up and experience the beauty that different locations have to offer.
