I have always loved books and have only ever wrote for my children. My children are now growing up and have encouraged me to write for a wider audience.
I love to read a variety of books but stories with a hint of magic and mystery capture my full attention. I feel there's not much to say about me I live with my two children and my little dog Phoebe. She's a Maltese cross poodle (maltipoo) but is more like a grumpy old lady, who wanders around grumbling to herself. I have a few hobbies beside my love of books and writing. I've just got into wine making which is such fun. I got the whole family involved in foraging for fruits and berries so I could make it into delicious wine. I also like to grow vegetables in my garden, it can be very relaxing after work to go out and potter around the garden watching everything flower and bloom. I suppose you could say I like the simple life.
I have a love of the old and my home is full of antique, character full pieces of furniture. Each piece has history and a tale to tell and sometimes that's how I write. I imagine a piece of furniture or an unusual object back where it began its life. I like to think about who owned it and what they used it for and build their characters up until I can see their whole life and their stories.
