Hi! I just wanted to say thank you so much for writing a book like Muddle and Muddled Love. Muddle is honestly one of my all-time favorites I’ve reread it countless times, and I still feel the same emotions every single time. It’s such a special story, and I feel deeply connected to the characters and their journey.
That’s also why I wanted to share something honestly about Muddled Love. I was really excited for it, but somewhere I felt like the characters didn’t have the same depth or spark as they did in Muddle. For example, Rivi who was mature yet chaotic and sarcastic before felt like she lost that spark here. Similarly, Hardin felt much more soft and cute, but that earlier intensity and complexity seemed missing.
It kind of felt like the story was wrapped up a bit quickly, without giving the same level of development or attention to the characters as before. I might be wrong, and maybe it’s just because I had very high expectations after loving Muddle so much but after rereading and thinking about it, this is how it came across to me.
I also want to apologize if anything I said comes off harsh that’s not my intention at all. I truly respect your work and the effort you put into writing. I just wanted to share my honest feelings as a reader who really loves your story and characters.

@KateSteevens That honestly means a lot to hear. But please don’t feel any pressure to match anything from the past you should only write when you genuinely feel like it and when it makes you happy. That’s what made Muddle so special in the first place. Whenever you do decide to write again, I’m sure it’ll be amazing in its own way, and I’ll definitely be there to read it. Take your time

@In_his_heart if I ever decide to write again I promise it will be with the same passion I wrote muddle with.
