One time, we had a “voluntary snow day” (that i didn’t realize). Basically this: i live on a hill, and i left the house, and was basically sliding down the hill. I finally got to school after many falls. I check the class schedule, and it says that 3/4 of my classes are canceled because everyone thought it was too dangerous to go to school. And one of the few teachers that DID show up, she was just about to reach the entrance to the school and slipped and cracked her skull. She hasn’t taken that risk since then. We have snow in Germany maybe every 5 years, by the way.
