"If people were rain, I was a drizzle and she was a hurricane."
~John Green, Looking for Alaska
This quote speaks strongly to me for the fact that I have always wanted to be a hurricane rather than the drizzle that I am. I don't believe that I can become a hurricane without leaving behind a few key parts of who I am, though. And that, my friends, simply isn't worth it to me, but the desire is still there to be a raging storm of chaos and mad beauty that terrifies and entrances people. In writing I find that I can become just exactly that.
