Hey all, Katie Hartx is my pen name. Writing is my heart, life, and soul. I have been writing since I was 11 years old when my 6th-grade teacher told us to register for an hour on anything we wanted to write. That inspired me to become a writer and poet. Won a poetry contest when I was in my teens. My favorite author is Kevin Brooks, who inspired me to write my first unpublished novels. 'A Boy Named Kai' is a story I started thinking about while thinking about his stories and how much one of them, titled 'Lucas,'  inspired me while reading that novel 6 times in my teen years.
