The story is of utmost importance in my mind. The characters and details fit into that framework. And I take a lot of care over my characters and details. 

I'm a self confessed love-a-holic, living in my heated imagination. Not that that's a bad place to be living, but it does make ordinary, day to day life, a little less than exciting at times. I have to kick myself up the backside now and then and remind myself that books is books and life is life. LOL
