Hey, I read drowned today and realized it was written 4 years ago. I see that it's been a while since you've been active. It's fine if you're no longer working on your stories but I just wanted to ask if you're alright. If you're just a note would be fine even if you're no longer writing.
Pls pls pls keep updating Drown! It is by far the best merman related book I have read in a good long while. The story building and the attention to detail are immaculate! I can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into writing this book, especially when reading the little anatomy blurb about merpeople! I saw that everything published had not been updated for a year or two, so I just wanted to ask if you were ok as well. sorry if I'm being a bit of a nuisance

Hello Wattpad, I am Aiyani Fleet, the author of Drown. As many of you know, I’ve been on a pretty long Hiatus. Today, I will be revealing the future of Drown, and what you have to look forward to over the next year.
First, allow me to ease some of your concerns; Drown is not an abandoned story!
After releasing chapter 39, I found myself feeling very disappointed in the quality of my work. I came very close to deleting it on several occasions but didn’t do so because this story, as well as my characters, hold a spot in my heart. Understanding this, I made my decision -- rather than forcing myself to keep writing new chapters, I've decided to completely rewrite the book.
The rewrite will include the following:
-Longer chapters, written with much more detail
-New scenes and POV’s
-New characters
-Side stories and Romances
-Enriching content that will add to the original story
-More R-16 and R-18 content incorporated throughout (warnings to be included in chapter notes.)
This will still be the book you all remember. I am simply rewriting it so that it may cater to an older audience, have fewer grammar errors, and more fulfillment.
For additional information on what to expect, an extended Note will be posted to the first chapter of Drown within the next week. I have already started the rewrite and will begin replacing old chapters soon.
Lastly, I have estimated this rewrite to take just over a year to fully complete. Please be patient and understanding with me – I write and edit everything myself. After so long of looking at the same chapter, I need to take a break so I can edit with fresh eyes.

You may not see this, but I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of your story "Catching The Waves" on Ao3. I love everything of it, and you're doing an amazing job on writing that story and the rest of your stories! I hope you'll finish the story but no rush tho! We all have priorities, and your readers will always support you <3.

@cleibum Hi! Thank you so much! I have to say it shocked me to see one of my ao3 readers over here. :D I do intend to keep writing 'Catching the Waves,' but I am taking some time to help me map out the future plot. When I first started writing this story I put a lot of time into building the world, but I failed to resolve some plot holes in the later chapters. Once I get closer to resolving this matter, I will let you know!
Are,you going to update secrets and lies?
@NaturiMartin Hello! While I plan on making the rewrite of my story 'Drown' a priority at the moment, I assure you that I have not abandoned 'Secrets and Lies.' I do have intentions of updating it in the future, but I don't have an exact time frame at the current moment.
