Okay, story time.
So as you know, I had a graphic shop for Wattpad authors where I used to create aesthetics, book covers, banners, POV banners, everything. I had closed it months ago because of school workload and all, but I forgot to delete it from Wattpad.
So today, I got a comment on Wattpad from someone placing an order for banners, POV banners, and thank you banners. I thought someone had reached out, so I should take the order. Even though I’m not taking any orders right now, out of my “kind heart” (which I now regret having), I accepted it.
I asked her if we could connect on Instagram. She said she doesn’t use Instagram.
So I said okay, no problem, share your email ID, we can connect through email and I’ll send you the inspo and everything.
Then she said she can’t connect on Google and can’t share her account.
At this point, I was like… okay
So I decided I’ll just write down the whole form and send it to her directly on Wattpad comments. She agreed. I copied everything from my form and sent it to her, and she actually replied to it.
Then I asked her if she has Pinterest, so that whatever I make, I can upload it there and she can download it. She said she doesn’t use Pinterest either.
So I asked her… then how exactly am I supposed to send you the final work?
And guess what.
She deleted the entire comment. The whole order. Just gone.
Meanwhile, I was literally taking screenshots of my previous work, posting them, preparing samples so she could choose styles.I was actually trying to figure out solutions so that her order could still be completed.
And she just… disappeared.
Like ma’am, you don’t use Instagram, email, Google, or Pinterest… what do you use? Telepathy?
Anyway, lesson learned:
Never reopen a closed shop out of kindness.
Because sometimes, people will still leave… even after you tried your best to make it work.
