I was first introduced to reading for fun when I was in the second grade and my school had one of their semi-annual book fairs. There were so many books ranging from picture books to full length novels for the older grades. I stopped at a table and fell in love with the Amelia Bedelia series of books. Amelia Bedelia was fun and I couldn’t get enough. The next year I picked up and read Matilda, the longest book to date that I’d read. I was so proud of myself I walked around school for the next week glowing.
That is where my love of reading came from. My reading continued with the Babysitters club and one of my all time favorites, The Sweet Valley High series. I must have read every single book in that series, even when they went to college. From Mary Higgins Clark to Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel to Zadie Smith, Zora Neale Hurston to Nalini Singh, I gobbled up books like they were going out of style.
My love affair with reading continued but the thought to write my own stories never occured to me until I read the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer and the Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare. I wanted to create a world where my readers could lose themselves in. I hope to bring you stories that make you want to refuse to scumb to sleep so you can keep reading. I hope to bring you stories that make you swoon, and fall in love.
Real life is full of enough hurt and pain, many times with nothing good coming from it. I write stories that celebrate love and all the wonderful ways love shows itself. I write stories that find love in hard to reach places, releases love in people who didn’t know they had it in them.
If you invest your time reading a story I’ve created, I want you to finish the book with a smile on your face glad you could you took the journey with me.
Happy Reading!
