It’s been a little quiet here lately, but I wanted to check in and let you all know that Crown of Shadows is not abandoned — not even close. The past couple of months slowed me down more than I expected, but I’ve slowly been finding my way back into the story, piece by piece. Instead of rushing straight into new chapters, I want to take a little time to build the momentum again and ease back into the world of Tenebris the right way.
While going back through the story, I reread the later chapters, and I keep thinking about everything that happened in Chapter 18. That chapter changed a lot more than it seemed on the surface. The tension at court, the way the balance between Selene and Reverien started to shift, the things that were said — and the things that weren’t — all of it set the tone for what comes next.
Nothing in Tenebris happens without consequence, and Chapter 18 was one of those moments where the story quietly crossed a line that it can’t go back from. The trust between characters isn’t as steady as it used to be, the court is watching more closely than ever, and some of the choices made there are going to carry forward whether anyone is ready for them or not.
As I start writing again, I want to spend some time revisiting these moments and letting the tension build the way it’s supposed to. The next chapters won’t jump ahead without weight behind them — they’ll grow naturally from what’s already happened, especially the fallout from Chapter 18.
Thank you to everyone who’s still here, still reading, and still waiting patiently. It really does mean a lot to know the story still has people who care about where it goes next.
For now, I’m taking my time getting back into the rhythm of writing, and I’m looking forward to continuing the story the way it was meant to be told.✨⚔️
