When I'm not writing, being a mum or working, I am a very keen runner (love it), a keen but slow open water swimmer and I do triathlons, though I'm focussing on marathon times at the moment after 8 months out of races through injury

I just had a year off from my job in the U.K. to finish writing and self-publish the first novel I wrote in between being a mum and working... My first novel I started properly 8 years ago when my son was born (I had the idea a few years before that, but didn't get far initially). That one is finally complete (or as complete as I'm going to get it) It is a psychological suspense about a psychotherapy cult. I'm currently sick of it and have given up trying to market it, but writing it was a great experience. What I'm putting up here is completely different (and I'm having great fun writing it), but it is a draft. It's the first part in a fantasy, young adult(ish)..trilogy, loosely (very) based on Irish mythology. I haven't tried fantasy before so would really appreciate any constructive feedback.

I am a bit of a technological dinosaur too so I need all the help I can get. I have a blog that I update regularly now, but please bear with me on the technology...I'm old (43) it's a learning curve as I've not really used it before

I have a website now and a blog and twitter account. Get me and the modern world! Facebook is there too but haven't made my page my own yet :)
