There’s something about dramatically dancing to a slow song barefoot on the bathroom floor fresh out the shower that brings me to life

          For spend more time admiring your face than she

Keep tearing me apart with your words
          If that makes you feel better
          Kill me in your poems

          Until it stops hurting

Inhale, exhale 
          In through the nose 
          Hold it
          Now out through the mouth
          Over

          My mind is shuffling through filing cabinets like one of the folders is going to magically hold the answers

          My heart searching for something to feel, anything to feel, it seems all the rooms are empty

          Over

Sometimes
          When my heart fails to beat
          And my lungs refuse oxygen 
          The scars that paint my skin 
          Are the only reminders 
          That I am still alive

I seen the devil cry, scream, and beg
          How weak I thought to myself
          That something so powerful could fall apart so easily
          I seen the flame around him dim and burn out
          How sad I thought to myself
          That something so strong could fade into nothing
